John Sorg Mengersdorff lived in Orangeburg District, South Carolina in 1736, he may have moved his family to GA. The wife of John was Anna Sibilla.

There were probably more children born to John and Anna, but only one daughter is known.

1. Mary Margaretha Mengersdorff, born 1736 Orangeburg District South Carolina. She died 1797 in Bulloch Co. GA. Mary married 7 December, 1755 either SC or GA. to George Rester SR. who was born 1730 probably VA.
