Edward Allen, was born 08 March, 1784 in PA., and married 30 January, 1805 in SC., to Dolly Timmons. She was born 19 April, 1799 in SC.
Edward and Dolly made their way west into Alabama and are listed on the 1850 Census in Benton Co. AL. They may have moved westward with their children. Some of the children are living near by in 1850

1. Spartan Allen, born 09 November, 1806 in SC.
2. Memory Allen, born 24 August, 1809 SC., married Elizabeth Prater, born 1817 in SC., and died 1864 AL.
3. Charles G. Allen, born 10 September, 1810 SC.
4. Robert Milferd Allen, born 17 January, 1814 SC.
5. John Allen, born about 1816 SC.
6. Mary Allen, born about 1819 SC.
7. Baylis Edward Allen, born about 1820 SC.
8. Sarah Allen, born about 1824 SC.
This info. was found in a family Bible that a great Aunt has as well as the 1850 Benton Co. AL census.
Spartan Allen, was born 09 November, 1806 in SC. He married 18 February, 1841 in Riceville, McMinn Co. TN., to Rachel Smith. She was born 17 November, 1814 in TN.
Spartan Allen and his wife Rachel are buried in Goshen Cemetary, in Piedmont AL.
Memory Allen, born 1809 SC., and died 1892 in AL. He is buried at Taylors Chapel in Cherokee Co.
He married Elizabeth Prater 12 August, 1845 in Benton Co., AL. He Purchased land in Lebanon, AL., in 1847. By 1850 he was in Benton Co.
AL., where he is found on the 1850 Federal census. He is listed on the 1860 in Benton Co. and 1870 Census in Cherokee Co.
